Jacquie Ward is a Psychologist who works with Children, Adolescents & their Families. She is based in South Sydney, Australia and offers sessions both in person and online via teletherapy.

It was a deep love of learning, combined with a fascination for developmental psychology and attachment theory that led Jacquie to pursue a career change after the birth of her first child. She returned to University and almost 10 years, another two babies, and approximately 5,000 textbooks later, found herself immersed in her dream job. For Jacquie, working with children, teens and their families as they navigate challenges with mental health and wellbeing, is the ultimate privilege.

Meet Jacquie.

Jacquie works with a range of presentations, including anxiety, ADHD, Autism, depression, and children who present with challenging and disruptive behaviours.

Jacquie’s work is informed and greatly influenced by industry leaders Dr. Ross Greene (Collaborative and Proactive Solutions) and Dr. Mona Delahooke (Neuroscience/ Polyvagal Theory). She is trained as a Circle of Security International Parenting Facilitator and loves nothing more than decoding what’s really going on in developing brains and those often deeply confusing behaviours (though a latte served with caramel slice runs a close second).

When she’s not working, you’ll likely find Jacquie chasing her three kids around at the beach, sneaking off to yoga class, or daydreaming with her husband about buying a hobby farm. Green spaces & ponies are her thing.

Jacquie’s first book, a children’s picture book that explores themes of high sensitivity, honouring our unique neurotype and the power of friendship, is now available for purchase.
