Workshops & Professional Development Sessions

Empowering Educators & Caregivers

As a passionate advocate for early childhood education and developmental psychology, I’m thrilled to offer tailored Professional Development workshops for preschools, kindergartens, and primary schools.

Sessions can be customised to suit specific learning outcomes or cover topics of interest, with the overarching goal being to empower educators with the knowledge and tools they need to foster healthy, thriving learning environments and support young developing minds.

A ‘forever student’ myself, I love nothing more than talking about developmental psychology and bringing this love into every session, ensuring that each workshop is not only informative but also engaging and inspiring.

Popular topics include;

  • Supporting anxious children

  • Strategies for managing challenging behaviours

  • Fostering a growth mindset in young learners

  • Promoting social and emotional learning

My approach

As a Psychologist, my work is evidence-based, which means I look to the research to guide and inform my approach.

I am heavily influenced (and inspired by!) the work of Dr. Mona Delahooke and Robyn Gobbel, who take a relational neuroscience approach in understanding young children and their behaviours and support needs.

My love is taking what we know about neuroscience and translating it into practical strategies that you can take away and implement immediately.

“Our Professional Development session was by far the best PD any of our Educators have attended.

The conversations that were had with you around the topic of supporting children with anxiety were soo insightful and practical for the early childhood environment.”

“Jacquie’s educator session was truly enlightening. Her deep insights into understanding behaviours and emotional regulation gave us practical tools that we can implement immediately in our work. Jacquie’s approach was engaging and easy to follow, and we walked away with a much clearer and deeper understanding of how to support children. The session was so incredibly valuable and left us empowered and better ready to nurture a positive learning environment.”
